The CI Log

The best three-way collaborative log ever?
Yeah probably.
Fast, reliable and engaging.

The Channel Islands Log or CI Log as its known around the world is the current best-selling log model from the team at Channel Islands.
Designed by legendary Californian shaper Wayne Rich alongside longboard maestro Devon Howard, this board is a true testament to the pursuit of pure involvement style surfing, or surfing that is done completely engaged in the pocket.
Not a designated noserider or performance longboard, this idea of this board was to allow its rider to surf completely in the pocket with no hang ups. Think some of the best components of longboarding blended all into one board.
The CI Log can be ridden by those just learning the art of logging through to those competing in high level events - it is a board that continually evolves with its rider.
Some interesting design notes below:
The board's shovel style nose or blunted nose was intentionally designed to be narrower 12" from the tip, creating eahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRK-68Ch1X0sy entry into tight wave pockets while offering good surface area for comfortable toe placement.
The down rails on the tail act like a 7th gear allowing the board to project through turns when engaged on rail - think harder/longer/more critical turns.
Neutral rocker enables the board to be surfed across a wide variety of conditions with a consistent familiarity. For reference I've taken this board to the reef at Yalls, pointbreaks of Noosa, beachies of Wedge/Denmark and the local waves at Isos.

The board pairs well with the following fins:
10" or 10.25" CI Log fin. The fin actually designed for this board by the team.
9.75" Volan Wild Things Kai Ellice-Flint fin.
10" Thomas Noserider fin.

So yes, the CI Log is a solid log, offering as much or as little as you need it too. With a wide variety of interesting design aspects and having the backing of Wayne Rich, Devon Howard and Channel Islands, this log would be a fantastic addition to anyone's quiver.
